Nesting

no…not baby nesting…

I found these two wooden bowls at the thrift store and decided they would make the best nests for Easter! I also happened to find this ball of brown yarn for 50 cents!  DSC_5069-2

Wrap and glue…wrap and glue…wrap and glue…repeat, repeat, repeat…DSC_5078

I used a thicker yarn for the smaller bowl.  DSC_5102-2

Finished!DSC_5100-2

I filled the big eggs with goldfish since I knew a certain 3 year old would most likely swipe them from this bowl to play with.DSC_5109-2DSC_5114-2

And the little nest is a perfect sized candy dish for Cadbury mini eggs! DSC_5108-2

The 3 year old found this bowl pretty quickly…DSC_5103

…because now it’s empty!

If you want to make your own bowl nests, you don’t need wooden bowls—I think a clear glass bowl would work just as well!  Simple.Cute.Cheap.

Happy Nesting!
