This past weekend Scott, Luke and I drove up to Yellowstone and spent the weekend there with his parents and his youngest sister Alison and her new husband, Anthony.Scott and I hadn't been there before, and it was quite beautiful! Yellowstone is a huge national park and there was lots of driving, but it was well worth it for all the animals we saw and all the beautiful scenery.
At Old Faithful--we only had to wait a few minutes for it to start shooting up due to good timing
Also very smelly (just look at those expressions!)
The waterfalls were so pretty!
It was pretty chilly (snow still on the ground everywhere), we bundled Luke up and had Scott and Grandpa carry him a lot.

Everyone is watching Scott's rock go down... down... down...
We saw lots of animals actually, here are some of them:
We also caught a glimpse of a bear pretty close to the road, and we watched a bald eagle use air currents to glide higher and higher.
But where is the Human restroom??
And here are 2 videos!!:
The bison actually got in our way a lot--here's a pretty cool video:
Luke found ways to keep busy during the trip too--he did this a lot:
lol. Attack the biker!
ReplyDeleteA Great write up! Love hearing Luke talking & babbling, it was a great weekend, with time well spent with family seeing God’s creations, would not trade it for anything. Thanks for you guys sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteThe bikers seriously had no protection. I'd be nervous in a car, let alone on a bike! Putting it between you and the bison just isn't going to do a whole lot. Fortunately, these seem to be kind - or at least unthreatened - bison.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if auto insurance generally covers things like bison attack damage.
Holy cow-that's a great video. I can't believe how close they got-and I would be very very nervous if I was on the bike!
